KITT

K.I.T.T., the Knight Industries Two Thousand, is the legendary black Pontiac Trans Am from the 1980s series Knight Rider. A sleek, armored supercar with artificial intelligence, K.I.T.T. partners with Michael Knight to fight crime, equipped with turbo boost rockets, molecular bonded shell, and advanced sensors.
Half of its magic lies in the sounds that defined an era. The most iconic is the front scanner bar's rhythmic whoop-whoop-whoop—a hypnotic, oscillating electronic sweep that pulses red light side-to-side, instantly signaling analysis or alert mode. Then comes the dramatic turbo boost: a rising, powerful whoooosh layered with engine roar and rocket ignition, culminating in a thrilling boom as K.I.T.T. leaps over obstacles. Add the turbine-like engine whine, button beeps, power-up hums, and William Daniels' calm, witty voice, and K.I.T.T.'s audio palette becomes unforgettable—pure 80s nostalgia in sonic form.
