On Mobile: Press and hold a sound, tap More Options, and select 🎹 Piano Mode.

Why are there adverts?
Advertising helps support this free site. It costs money in hosting, and a lot of time and effort making and maintaining the site.
We've tried many different ways over the years to fund this site, including charging for downloads, donations, selling merchandise and stickers, but there was little to no support.
How do I hide the adverts?
If you're not logged in, there is a 'Less Adverts' button at the top of the site.
By creating an account and logging in, you can significantly reduce the number of adverts you see. To remove all adverts, simply create a soundboard and reach at least 500 visits.
While it’s not possible to eliminate adverts during downloads, each ad you view grants you multiple download credits for free.
What do you do to prevent offensive TTS voice sounds?
We use A.I. moderation tools to block hateful, threatening, sexual, graphically violent, and self harm sounds. If you have found a sound you find offensive, please right-click it and press Report. We typically respond to reports within a few minutes.
Why can't I see other peoples' phrases on a TTS board?
In an effort to stop abuse, you can now only see your own phrases.
You can view your own TTS phrases, and copy a link to send to your friends if you want to share them.
TTS phrases are not private, but more similar to YouTube's 'unlisted' where you can send a link to your friends. They may also appear in search engines.
To keep your phrases truly private, download them after making them and delete them.
All TTS phrases used to be visible on the voice boards, but while it was entertaining for some, there was a lot of content that users didn't like, and it was also confusing for some users to see phrases from other users and not just their own. While there are some users that would like to see all the content, we believe this unlisted approach is better overall.
Why is my AdBlocker stopping downloads?
Ask your AdBlocker to stop blocking downloads.
You can also try opening a Private/Incognito tab, or following this Guide to Disabling Your Ad Blocker.
How can I route 101soundboards audio from my browser to my microphone input (for example to play soundboards into game audio chat)?
You can send audio from this site directly into a game, voice chat, Discord, or another appby using a virtual audio cable.
Once the virtual cable is installed, use the volume control in the bottom-right corner of this siteto choose where our audio is sent.
Windows — Set up VB-CABLE
On Windows, the easiest option isVB-Audio Virtual Cable (VB-CABLE).
- Download and install VB-CABLE.
- Restart your computer after installation.
- Come back to this site.
- Find the volume control in the bottom-right corner of the site and click it.
- Under Audio output, choose CABLE Input (VB-Audio Virtual Cable).
That's the important part: once CABLE Input is selected in our volume control, audio played on this site will be sent into the virtual cable instead of your normal speakers.
Now choose it as your microphone in the game
Open the audio or voice-chat settings in the game or app where you want the sound to appear.
- Find its Microphone, Input Device, orVoice Input setting.
- Choose CABLE Output (VB-Audio Virtual Cable).

- Set Audio output to CABLE Input.
- Open your game's audio settings.
- Set the game's microphone/input device to CABLE Output.
- Join voice chat and play a sound from this site.
The sound will travel from this site → into CABLE Input →out through CABLE Output → and into the game's voice chat.
Tip: The VB-CABLE names can seem backwards at first. On this site you choose CABLE Input. In your game or voice app you choose CABLE Output.
Want to hear the sounds yourself too?
A basic virtual cable sends the site's audio to the virtual device rather than directlyto your headphones. If you need more advanced routing — for example, hearing the soundsyourself while also mixing them with your real microphone — you can useVoicemeeter.
Mac — Use BlackHole
On macOS, you can do the same thing withBlackHole.BlackHole 2ch is enough for most users.
- Install BlackHole 2ch.
- Return to this site.
- Click the volume control in the bottom-right corner.
- Under Audio output, choose BlackHole 2ch.
- Open your game or voice app.
- Set its microphone/input device to BlackHole 2ch.
Audio played on this site will now be sent through BlackHole and into the other app.
Switching back to your headphones or speakers
When you're finished, click the volume control in the bottom-right corneragain and change Audio output back to your headphones, speakers, or System default output.
Can't see the virtual cable?
- Make sure VB-CABLE or BlackHole was installed successfully.
- Restart your browser after installing it.
- On Windows, restart your computer after installing VB-CABLE.
- Click the volume control in the bottom-right and openAudio output again.

What is Text-to-Speech?
Text-to-Speech (TTS) is a technology that converts text into spoken voice output. It is used in a variety of applications, including voice assistants, navigation systems, and accessibility tools for people with visual impairments. On 101soundboards you can use TTS to create custom sounds various voices, then share them with others. TTS voices are synthetic creations and do not imply any affiliation with the person whose name or likeness may be associated with it.
How does the TTS feature work on this site?
When you submit a phrase to be converted into speech, our system sends the text to a TTS engine, which generates an audio file of the spoken text. The audio file is then added to the soundboard for you to play and share with others.
To use the TTS feature, simply enter your desired phrase in the text box on the voice of your choice. Click the "Generate" button to create your custom sound. The TTS engine will process your request and generate an audio file of the spoken text, which will be added to the top of the soundboard in green for you to play and share with others.
ou can find a list of available voices and song generators on the TTS page. Explore a variety of voices and create unique sounds to share with your friends.
Why does it take time for my TTS request to be processed?

What should I do while waiting for my TTS request to be processed?
If there is a queue, while waiting for your TTS request to be processed you can bookmark the page and check back later. You can also explore other voices and song generators on the site to create more sounds, or explore the millions of sounds already available on 101soundboards.

Why should I hire a voice artist?
Here are three compelling reasons to hire a voice artist over AI:
1. Authentic Emotional Depth
Voice artists bring a human touch to their performances, conveying authentic emotions and nuanced expressions that AI often struggles to replicate. A skilled artist can adjust their tone, pacing, and inflection to fit the context of the message, ensuring the delivery feels genuine and relatable.
2. Creative Flexibility
Voice artists can collaborate directly with clients, taking direction and adapting their performance to specific feedback. They can interpret scripts creatively, offering unique takes that go beyond what a pre-programmed AI can provide. This flexibility ensures a tailor-made result rather than a generic output.
3. Cultural and Ethical Sensitivity
Human voice artists are adept at understanding cultural contexts, slang, and subtleties that might not translate well through AI. They also help businesses avoid potential ethical pitfalls, like misrepresenting accents or perpetuating stereotypes, which AI-generated voices might unintentionally reinforce.
Hiring a voice artist adds professionalism and a personal touch that can make a significant difference in the impact of your project.

To keep your phrases truly private, download them after making them and delete them.

While there are some users that would like to see all the content, we believe this unlisted approach is better overall.

No. If you want to have private sounds, save them to your computer or phone.
How do I have my sounds automatically labelled/transcribed?
When you upload a sound, unless you turn off the Auto Label option (a Closed Caption icon), sounds will be automatically transcribed using Speech-to-Text.
This helps you so you don't have to type out a label for the sound, and helps other people find sounds.
If you already have sounds on your Soundboard, and you want them to be auto labelled/transcribed, press the 'Auto Label' button at the top of the soundboard.
Please note that the auto labelling is permanent. You can edit the labels afterwards, but you cannot undo and return the original labels.

If I'm cloning a voice with TTS, do you automatically remove the background sounds and music?
Yes! We now automatically remove the background sounds and music, to give you the best quality voice clones. Previously, you had to supply clips without music or use a service like mvsep.com.
Does putting HQ, SQ or HD in my cloned voice title change anything?
No. All cloned voices are the same quality.
How do I send a DMCA Takedown Notice?
You can send a DMCA Takedown Notice at DMCA Takedown Notice.
Why can't I download a voice model of the TTS voice I created?
The RVC models are a legacy/old type. We moved away from RVC as it was very expensive for each voice clone (sometimes $2) so we couldn't provide it for free, and it was actually worse quality, and now use TTS that does not require voice models.
If you want to clone a voice, use TTS. TTS doesn't even have to create voice models and works instantly. If you're a developer doing complicated or legacy things, look into RVC, but it's not something we recommend anymore.
Voice model: Complicated large file for old AI systems.
TTS: Text-to-speech using voice clones.
Download TTS: Download a sound file after making a phrase with TTS.

How to Make a Waze GPS Voice from TTS Phrases
Creating a custom Waze voice from Text-to-Speech (TTS) can be done in two ways. You can use the built-in recorder for a quick setup, or use a community-built tool to upload the original MP3s for the best audio quality.
Here is a simple guide on how to do both.
Method 1: The Standard Way (Using the Waze App)
This is the easiest method. You will play your generated TTS audio from a computer and record it into your phone's microphone using the official Waze app.
Preparation: Generate all the directional phrases you need using your preferred TTS tool and have them ready to play on your computer speakers.
- Open the Waze app on your phone (disconnect from Android Auto/CarPlay if you are plugged in).
- Tap the sound icon on the screen.
- Under "Current voice," tap the voice that is currently selected.
- Tap New voice, then tap OK.
- You will see a list of navigational phrases. Tap the first phrase you want to record.
- Tap the microphone icon to start recording, immediately play the corresponding TTS audio from your computer, and tap the stop icon when it finishes.
- Tap the play icon to check the audio. If it sounds good, tap Save.
- Repeat this process for the other phrases on the list.
- When finished, tap Done in the top-right corner.
- Enter a name for your custom voice and tap Add.
Note: You can share your newly created voice with friends by finding it under "Custom voices," swiping left on it, and tapping Share. For more details, you can visit the official Waze help page.
Method 2: The Advanced Way (Direct MP3 Upload)
Recording audio through your phone's microphone can result in background noise and quality loss. Advanced users can bypass the microphone entirely and upload pristine TTS MP3 files directly to Waze using the community GitHub repository.
Preparation: Generate your TTS phrases and save them as individual MP3 files on your computer.
- Go to the waze-voicepack-links GitHub repository and download the project files to your computer.
- Ensure you have Python installed on your computer, as well as the required dependencies (you can install these by running the requirements text file included in the repository).
- Navigate to the mp3_upload folder inside the downloaded repository.
- This folder contains a script designed to directly push your local MP3 files to Waze's servers.
- Run the script following the instructions in that folder. It will package your TTS MP3s and automatically generate a custom, shareable Waze voicepack link.
- Open the generated link on your phone, and Waze will automatically download and install your high-quality custom TTS voice.

Can I copy all the sounds from a soundboard to my own soundboard?
Yes. Create a soundboard, then ask the AI specifically to copy all the sounds to your own specific soundboard.
What is a Scenario Generator?
Scene Generators let you generate realistic sounding audio for different situations. For example, the 'TV Commercial' scene generator makes a realistic sounding TV advert. We hope you have fun making things with them.
How do I disable the NSFW filter?
To help hide content that some users don't want to see, it may be blurred. When you press NSFW content for the first time, a warning will ask you to confirm once if you want to play it, and from that point onwards the NSFW filtering will remain off.
The short version, is just press the blurred content to disable the filter.

Does 101soundboards have a water-cooled noisy data center?
No. 101soundboards does not have a water-cooled datacenter. We run on old upcycled gaming PCs in our garage. No server racks, no liquid cooling, and no giant facility. About 30% of our power comes from renewable sources, plus solar when the sun is shining.
Does 101soundboards train Generative AI?
No. 101soundboards does not train generative AI. Our text-to-speech feature is one-shot: it uses your sound clip to generate the requested audio and then forgets it. We do not train models on your voice. We do not train 'Generative AI.'
Do you have an AI Cover Song facilty?
No. We have song generators, but no 'change the singer of an existing audio music recording to be sung by another person.'
