A national crisis now?
Because they know what punishment matters.
But we do need to be honest with ourselves.
Creating so much anxiety.
I think it's right that punishment is central to our criminal justice system.
If no deal were to come to pass, it would create a state of national emergency, and that is true enough.
It's important for communities to see.
Politicians and are often accused of populism in crime and justice.
Restorative justice is effective and popular with victims, and neither has to be expensive.
She warned of the degradation of our national political debate.
That I can completely understand.
That politicians try to gain the initiative with criticism of judges. Heaven for.
Too much reform is pandering to offenders needs and ignoring the victims.
We are no closer to breaking an impasse that simply must be broken.
We need to approach this, we need to pick somebody who we can take to these communities and say here is a potential Prime Minister and be believed.
Yeah, I'm not saying this is an easy task.
