King advanced civil rights for people of color in the United States through nonviolence and civil disobedience. The SCLC put into practice the tactics of nonviolent protest with some success. Martin Luther King Jr. led marches for the right to vote, desegregation, labor rights, and other civil rights.

All the world today knows that we are here and we are standing before the forces of power in the state of Alabama saying we ain't gonna let nobody turn us around.

Well, like for none of us has been a crystal style. We must keep moving, we must keep going. If you can't fly, run. If you can't run, walk. If you can't walk, crawl. But by all means keep moving.
What you do now and what you decide now at this age may well determine. Which way your life shall go? And the question is whether you have a proper, a solid and a sound blueprint.
