Mathematically, the ASK modulated wave is defined by the equation $V {ask}(t) = [1 + V {m}(t)] [A/2 \cos(w {c} t)]$, where $V {m}(t)$ represents the digital modulating signal (1 or 0) and $w {c}$ is the carrier's angular frequency. In the time domain, the waveform simply appears as bursts of the carrier signal corresponding to binary 1s, with silence representing 0s.While ASK is advantageous due to its low power requirements and simple implementation, it is highly susceptible to noise and sudden gain changes.
