Born on February 27, 1902, in Harrison, New York, he became the first golfer to achieve a Career Grand Slam, winning all four major championships: The Masters (1935), U.S. Open (1922), The Open Championship (1932), and PGA Championship (1923). Sarazen is credited with inventing the sand wedge in 1932, a tool that revolutionized bunker play. His legendary shot, known as "the shot heard 'round the world," during the 1935 Masters Tournament, showcased his skill and remains a significant moment in golf history.
