'Death in Brunswick' is a 1990 Australian black comedy directed by John Ruane. The film follows Carl Fitzgerald, a down-on-his-luck chef who secures a job at a Greek nightclub in Melbourne's Brunswick suburb. He begins a relationship with Sophie Papafogos, a Greek-Australian barmaid, but his life takes a dark turn when he accidentally kills a fellow worker. Carl enlists the help of his unscrupulous best friend, Dave, to dispose of the body, leading to a series of comedic and suspenseful events. The film features a strong cast, including Sam Neill as Carl Fitzgerald, Zoe Carides as Sophie Papafogos, and John Clarke as Dave.
