Description: "The Defenestration of Frank" is a 2016 episode from the seventh season of the television series "Shameless." In this episode, Fiona Gallagher (Emmy Rossum) purchases an air conditioning unit for her bedroom and seeks to buy a laundromat from Etta (June Squibb). She convinces Etta to sell the lease by offering a $100,000 loan, allowing Etta to continue living in her apartment upstairs. However, Fiona is disappointed when the bank approves only an $80,000 loan. Meanwhile, Debbie (Emma Kenney) has moved in with Neil (Zack Pearlman), Sierra's brother, who has a brain injury causing him to speak his mind without filter. Debbie invites her family to dinner, excluding Fiona. Carl (Ethan Cutkosky) has been accepted into military school but is hesitant due to potential hazing. Dominique (Jaylen Barron) is interested in reconciling with him, but Luther (Peter Macon) reveals that she is once again cheating on him. Frank (William H. Macy) manipulates the shelter residents into begging on the streets, then resells donated furniture, keeping most of the proceeds for himself. When Debbie asks him to sign papers allowing her to marry Neil, he refuses, believing she is too young. Later, the shelter residents discover Frank's hidden money and, angered by his actions, throw him out of the window, exiling him from the house. Lip (Jeremy Allen White) continues his relationship with Sierra (Ruby Modine) but is unsure about its status. Sierra clarifies that while she enjoys their sexual relationship, she is not interested in anything more serious. Lip also continues his operation with Joaquin (José Julián) at the company until the DEA arrives to shut it down. Fiona tells Lip about the loan, and he is upset to learn she used the house as collateral for the remaining $20,000. Kevin (Steve Howey) is disturbed to discover that Yvon (Pasha Lychnikoff) is having sex with a woman, believing it to be Svetlana (Isidora Goreshter). He and Veronica (Shanola Hampton) are horrified to find it is actually Svetlana, and she reveals that Yvon is not her father but her husband. Ian (Cameron Monaghan) and Trevor (Elliot Fletcher) want to pursue a sexual relationship but realize they are both "tops," leading them to question how to proceed. Debbie asks Fiona to sign the marriage papers, and Fiona agrees. That night, encouraged by his siblings, Carl finally leaves for military school. At the bus station, Lip tells Fiona she can still reconsider the loan, but she remains silent, and Lip angrily leaves. At military school, Carl easily beats the leader of a group of bullies, and the rest leave him alone.
