Millie is a 1931 American pre-Code drama directed by John Francis Dillon, based on Donald Henderson Clarke's novel. The film follows Millie Blake, a young woman who marries wealthy New Yorker Jack Maitland, only to discover his infidelity three years later. Seeking independence, Millie divorces Jack, allowing him and his mother to retain custody of their daughter, Connie. She pursues a career in the hotel industry, rising to head operations, while navigating complex relationships with banker Jimmy Damier and reporter Tommy Rock. Ultimately, Millie reunites with her daughter and Jack's family, finding a new path forward.
