Description: Duel in the Sun is a 1946 American epic psychological Western film directed by King Vidor and produced by David O. Selznick. The film follows Pearl Chavez, a young biracial woman who becomes the ward of her deceased father's former lover, Laura Belle McCanles. Living on a vast Texas ranch, Pearl finds herself torn between two brothers: Jesse McCanles, the virtuous son, and Lewton "Lewt" McCanles, the rebellious son.
