Description: Under Western Skies is a 1945 American Western musical film directed by Jean Yarbrough. The story follows Katie Wells, a member of a traveling musical troupe, who arrives in the small Arizona town of Rim Rock. The troupe faces opposition from the local townspeople, leading them to plan a performance in the saloon. During this time, Katie becomes romantically involved with local schoolteacher Tod Howell. Their budding relationship is complicated when the troupe is ambushed by a gang of outlaws led by the masked bandit King Carlos Randall, who is revealed to be Randall himself. The film features a blend of music and Western elements, set against the backdrop of the American Southwest.
