As usual, Mom was way more excited about it than Dad. She'd been working up in her studio for two weeks on a special gift, and no one was allowed to see it till it was finished. So, Mom, how's Dad's gift coming along? I just put the finishing touches on it this morning. It's an absolute masterpiece. I think it's the best work I've ever done. I can't wait till your father sees it. He'll just love it to pieces. That's great, Mom. Pancakes are ready. Oh, George, those look delicious. Your father could certainly take a few lessons from you when it comes to breakfast.
