Norm Gene Macdonald was a Canadian stand-up comedian, actor, and writer who lived from October 17, 1959, until September 14, 2021. In 1998, he was let off from Saturday Night Live for reportedly making fun of O. J. Simpson when he was on trial for murder. In addition to hosting his own comedy, The Norm Show, Norman also developed and acted in the 1998 movie Dirty Work. He wrote the dramatised version of his life in the 2016 book Based on a True Story.
