Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998)

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998)

"Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" is a 1998 film based on Hunter S. Thompson's novel of the same name. Directed by Terry Gilliam, this dark comedy stars Johnny Depp as renegade journalist Raoul Duke and Benicio del Toro as his eccentric attorney Dr. Gonzo. The movie follows their drug-induced journey through the surreal and debauched landscape of Las Vegas. With its wild storyline and hallucinatory visuals, it captures the essence of counterculture and the drug-fueled chaos of the 1970s. If you want to immerse yourself in the soundscape of this film, you can play and download the soundtrack here.

A case of beer, a pint of raw ether …
A drug person can learn to cope with things like
A fortune won and lost on every deal
A gross physical salute to the fantastic possibilities of life in this country.
A high powered mutant of some kind
A House subcommittee report says,
A natural street freak just eating whatever came by.
A proper end to the '60s.
A salt shaker half full of cocaine,
A suspected marijuana addict … Pardon me.
A television series.
A whole galaxy of multicolored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers.
About half the time, we use codes. Especially with Dr. Gonzo.
Absolutely. Yeah.
Acapulco shirts.
Actually, it's not for you. It's for somebody named Thompson.
Adrenochrome? Hmm.
Adrenochrome.
After a lot of bad noise he let us in for nothing
After years of dealing with drug people,
Ah, man, a real license to steal.
Ah, yes. This is what it's all about.
Ali beaten by a human hamburger.
Ali Frazier fight.
Alice. Prove it!
All energy flows according to the whims of the Great Magnet.
All I have to do is check into my soundproof suite.
All I need is a place to cook.
All right, come on. Let's go downstairs and gamble.
All right, here we go with the third group.
All right, I'll do it! I'll do it.
All right, let's see.
All right, listen to me.
All right, listen.
All right, our second group of 10 is getting in place.
All right, Sven.
All right, you weird fucker! Sit down! Back in the tub!
All right? Now, I've got to go. I've gotta get to the race.
All right.
All right.
All right.
All right. I'm gonna drop you right next to the plane.
All right. Why not?
All swooping and screeching and diving around the car.
All these horrible realities began to dawn on me.
All those hopes down the drain
All those pathetically eager acid freaks
All very, very fast.
All you need's a strong heart and nerves of steel
Also, a quart of tequila, a quart of rum,
Always thinking that just behind some narrow door in all his favorite bars,
An ignorant chicken fucker in this town.
And 2 more club sandwiches.
And a voice was screaming …
And all the joy
And become hip.
And crushed honeydew rinds?
And figure out how to cope with it.
And gave you as a reference.
And get one of the goddamn maids to do it.
And his pants will be crusted with semen
And huge manta rays coming down on the car?
And I can't tell you how grateful I am for this break you wanna give me.
And I feel like loving you
And I knew we'd get into that rotten stuff pretty soon.
And I realize that his name is not on that list.
And I saw they bled
And I'm just a devil with love to spare
And irresponsible and depraved
And it's just what I'm gonna do
And locked into some kind of preternatural courtship.
And neither have I, for that matter.
And now he was going off to chuckle about it on the west side of town,
And now, it's my turn.
And now, without further ado,
And other luggage out to the car a few hours earlier.
And proportion
And somebody was giving booze to these goddamn things.
And take a long nap.
And take to dinner
And that, I think, was the handle.
And the lady is mine
And the Lower Oakland Roller Derby Finals all rolled into one.
And the one armed bandits crashing
And the Red Queen's off with her head
And the sky was full of what looked like huge bats.
And the White Knight is talking backwards
And then if he can convince himself
And then just wheeling across town and checking into another.
And then savagely penetrated every orifice in her little body
And then turn these fucking pigs loose on her.
And then, after that, he can actually raise himself
And then, zang!
And there was a certain bent appeal in the notion of running a savage burn
And they'll run us down like dogs.
And they're off!
And this baby here …
And too rare to die.
And warm woolen mittens
And we are chock full of that, man.
And we're gonna have to arm ourselves to the teeth.
And we're gonna rip his lungs out.
And when you scream for help,
And when you're not even welcome in the cut rate downtown places.
And whiskers on kittens
And win a cotton candy goat!
And with the right kind of eyes,
And you hear yourself mumbling.
And you know what that means. Right?
And you start waving that goddamn
And you think, What's happening here?
And you'll need the cocaine.
Another great start with a lot of dirt happening on this hill!
Anybody that knows anything knows that.
Anybody that knows anything knows that.
Anyway, the last thing in the world you wanna do
Are you prepared to go to court?
Are you ready for that?
Are you ready?
Are you ready? Hmm?
As the bombing continues in Laos …
As your attorney, I advise you
As your attorney, I advise you to drive over to the Tropicana.
As your attorney, I advise you to take a hit out of the little brown bottle
At 6:30 on a Friday afternoon in Hollywood.
At least that's what the press release says, anyway.
At the crumbs of a crust of bread
At the hazy recollection of being seduced by some kind of cruel Samoan
Attention, all Mint Hotel guests.
Awful jackass.
Baby, I'm starting to feel human
Back, God … Back, motherfucker!
Bazooko Circus is what the whole hep world would be doing Saturday night
Be over in 30 minutes.
Beats me, man.
Beautiful fucking tits.
Because he's a very crude man.
Because I had no money to pay for it.
Because in spite of his race, this man is extremely valuable to me.
Because it resembles a cockroach.
Before You bring the hammer down.
Before you turn into a wild animal.
Behaving in this terrible way but you can't control it.
Beware. Any officer apprehending
Big whiff. Big whiff. Big whiff, sonny boy.
Bisexuals are gonna kill me.
Bit off the head of the bartender,
Blows my weekend. Why?
Bolt everything! Use all the chains!
Both Kennedys murdered by mutants.
Boy, are you upset.
Boy, I wouldn't sleep a minute away
Boys and girls,
Bright copper kettles
Bright light city gonna set my soul
Brown paper packages
Bullshit.
Bullshit.
But by the time I asked this question,
But do you?
But he will be available maybe later this morning?
But he won't be bothering anybody for a while.
But he won't know what to make of your blinker signal
But his knuckles will be white from inner tension.
But I don't have to take it off no spic pimp!
But I have plenty of medicine. My name is Dr. Gonzo.
But I howled at my ma in the driving rain
But I knew that our peace was about to be shattered.
But I spilled the rest on the sleeve of my red woolen shirt.
But I thought you were just here for the convention.
But I wonder if I could just slide on through and get out of your way.
But I'd never in hell touch a pineal gland.
But in my line of business it's important to be hep.
But it says, Care of Raoul Duke.
But it's all right
But it's all right
But it's all right now
But it's all right now
But it's all right now
But never turn your back on a drug.
But no explanation.
But nobody should be asked to handle this trip.
But now I couldn't do without my supply
But only for those with true grit.
But the car and tape recorder were not easy things to round up
But the first time that you say anything about this to anybody
But the key wouldn't open the door.
But the mescaline was running strong.
But the salesman said he could wait if we hurry.
But their loss and failure
But then why all this booze
But there's no hurry. The race is over.
But we have a cure for it. Here you go.
But we must have that suite!
But we were delayed en route
But what I can tell you, sir, is if Margaret Mead, at her age
But what now?
But you'll have no problem recognizing him.
Buy us some golf shoes,
By 10:00, they were spread out all over the course.
By a fairly good cross section
Can get away with sandbagging a Doctor of Journalism?
Can I call you a cab?
Can touch that sense of knowing that you were there and alive
Can you hear me?
Can you make it that far?
Can you tell me that?
Can't be helped.
Cashed his check.
Castration!
Checking into a Vegas hotel under a phony name
Chicken shit … Move over, man.
Christ, what could I say?
Christ!
Christ! Hey!
City limits end 2.2 miles beyond the rest area.
Clean your shorts, goddamn it, like a big boy. Go on!
Clearly a high class refuge for big spenders.
Clearly I was a victim of the drug explosion,
Close your eyes.
Come here. The password is, One hand washes the other.
Come on people, now

Come on. Hop! I can't!
Come on. Let go.
Come on. Scoot over, you fat bastard.
Come on. You fell, you fell. Let's go.
Come with me.
Completely twisted on drugs.
Cool guys.
Cops were going apeshit …
Could be explained by a private marijuana addiction?
Could take
Could we make it?
Couple of Triumphs. Here and there a CZ.
Crab Louie and a quart of muscatel for $20.
Crazy shit, man.
Crazy. Why not?
Damn drugs.
Damn right!
Devil ether.
Did you put him on to her? Huh? Huh?
Did you see that?
Did you see what God just did to us, man?
Do I make myself clear?
Do they pay you to screw that bear?
Do you … Do you … Does that mean anything?
Do you realize who the fuck you're talking to?
Does anybody want some LSD?
Dogs fucked the Pope. No fault of mine.
Don't answer the phone.
Don't bother to make up the room.
Don't come anywhere near this place, you bastard.
Don't come fucking near me!
Don't come near me.
Don't fuck with it, man!
Don't fuck with me now, man. I am Ahab.
Don't let me keep you up.
Don't make me use this, man.
Don't move, man. Be very still. There we go.
Don't move. You'll fall down.
Don't put that thing on me!
Don't run, man.
Don't say that word around here. You'll get them excited.
Don't take any guff from these swine.
Don't tell me those things.
Don't touch it, man. Don't touch it!
Don't touch that. Leave it alone.
Don't try and fight it.
Don't try to tell us you never heard of the Grange Gorman.
Don't worry if it doesn't add up.
Don't worry. This man has a bad heart.
Don't you need somebody to love
Don't you want somebody to love
Double castration!
Dr. Bumquist.
Dr. Gonzo's signature on the telegram from Los Angeles
Dr. L. Ron Bumquist.
Dragged her to a Vegas hotel room
Drinking Singapore Slings with mescal on the side.
Drove all the way from L.A. for this show.
Drugs …
Duke?
Duke? Hi!
Eat some reds and try to calm down.
Electrocution. We don't want that.
Especially when it's waving a razor sharp hunting knife in your eye.
Ether is the perfect drug for Las Vegas.
Even a goddamn werewolf is entitled to legal counsel.
Even if I ran out of sleep
Everything all right?
Excellent seafood.
Excellent seafood.
Excellent.
Exchanging glances
Excuse me, sir?
Excuse me. All right.
Expecting to fly
Extract of pineal.
Eye contact, man.
Eyes?
Failed seekers,
Fantastic!
Feed your head
Feed your head
Few people understand the psychology of dealing with a highway traffic cop.
Fifteen minutes to get my attorney to the airport,
Five? Hmm?
Five.
For 48 consecutive hours. Incredible.
For a moment, I thought his mind had snapped,
For all those people who took him seriously.
For an agonizing reappraisal of the whole scene.
For example, a dope fiend
For fuck's sake, man!
For just 99 cents more you can have a voice message!
For just 99 cents, your likeness will appear 200 feet tall
For my niece.
For this very special moment in sport.
For your love
For your love
Foreigners aren't welcome here.
Four chicken … There's a big machine in the sky.
Four distinct states of being in the cannabis or marijuana society.
Four hours or so of catatonic despair.
Frank Sinatra's, Spiro Agnew's.
Freaks. Take me back to the pits.
From a living human body.
From constantly jacking off when he can't find a **** victim.
From the last minute, pre dawn chaos of a stale Vegas casino.
Fuck off.
Fuck off.
Fuck off. All right.
Fuck seats!
Fuck, he's …
Fuck, they'll make me explain things. Shit.
Fuck, you've gone completely sideways, man.
Fuck!
Fuck.
Fuck. Whoa, shit! Whoa, shit!
Fucking A, the gentleman has a major credit card!
Fucking pigs! Flying!
Get a grip, man.
Get a grip.
Get in there and clean your shorts!
Get in.
Get off of me! Get away from me!
Get out of my way, you …
Get out.
Get out. The weasels were closing in. I could smell the ugly brutes.
Get the fuck out of here.
Get the hell out of L.A. for at least 48 hours.
Get them out!
Get them out.
Get us out of here quick!
Get your fucking head straight.
Get your hands off my fucking head!
Getting hold of the drugs and shirts had been no problem.
Give me a beer, man.
Give me the key. Give me the goddamn key!
Give me two hours. That's all I ask, man.
Go away! Come on.
Go on! Pay your check and get out of here!
Go on.
Go! Fuck!
God bless.
God didn't do that. You did it.
Goddamn hippies!
Goddamn it, you've got my pen!
Goddamn it!
Goddamn it! It's over there.
Goddamn it.
Goddamn it. We're lost.
Goddamn mescaline.
Goddamn you, we wouldn't stay in this hotel if you begged us!
Goddamn, what a bummer.
Good evening, ladies and gentlemen!
Good luck, gentlemen.
Good mescaline comes on slow.
Good morning, sir.
Good night. Pardon me. Bye, Sven.
Good question.
Good.
Good. Jeez …
Got a light?
Got coke up my nose to dry away the snot
Great.
Great. Hang on to it.
Grim memories and bad flashbacks.
Groovy.
Guy Lombardo. He's in the Blue Room with his Royal Canadians.
Had we deteriorated to the level of dumb beasts?
Hang pictures of Jesus all over the room,
Has it been five years? Six?
Have fallen sloppy dead
Have you made a deal with him?
Have you seen the race?
He can become one of those
He did it very casually,
He got a hold of my woman, man!
He is. Don't worry. I'll get it to him.
He loves artists.
He might have picked up a letter opener and gone after my
He must have sensed trouble.
He offered me human blood, said it would take me higher than I'd ever been in my life.
He said he understood, but I could see in his eyes that he didn't.
He swore he didn't do it.
He told me he was gonna turn in early, so …
He told me he was gonna turn in early, so …
He was lying to me.
He will attack for no reason, with any weapon at his command
He will not respect your badge.
He will stagger and babble when questioned.
He'd report us at once
He'll be posing as a politician,
He'll have all the details.
He'll seek me out. What do you think?
He's a foreigner.
He's gluing her eyes shut right now, man.
He's lying to us. I could see it in his eyes.
He's on our side.
He's on our side.
Hell, just a minute ago you were asking me to kill you.
Hell, no, I taught the bastard a lesson he'll never forget.
Hell, no.
Hell, she's strong, man. She'll hold her own.
Hell, the only reason they gave us press passes
Hello?
Help me! The fuck!
Her eyes were turgid with fear, but her brain was functioning
Here we are. We're ready to go.
Here we go.
Here we go. Okay.
Here, take this. That should be enough.
Here's an extra 10 bucks, buddy.
Here's how it is.
Hey, beat it. Beat it. Go on.
Hey, hey, feel with me, baby
Hey, hey, hey!
Hey, hey! Hey, listen.
Hey, listen, I really hate to interrupt,
Hey, man, take off slowly. Don't attract attention.
Hey, Mr. Duke, we're all settled.
Hey, there.
Hey, they're starting!
Hey, too bad you guys missed the bikes checking in.
Hey! Here, take this. All right.
Hey! It's pretty great, huh? What?
Hey! Pull over!
Hey! Slow down! This is a restricted area!
Hey! What the hell's going on?
Hey. There's no harm done.
Hi there!
Hi. How are you?
Hi. I'm Lacerda, your photographer.
Hiding from the brutish realities of this foul year of our Lord,
Higher, man. Higher.
Hip and square.
Hired geeks.
His performance had given me a bad jolt.
Hmm?
Hmm?
Hmm?
Hmm? And nine fresh g****fruit.
Hmm? Mmm.
Hmm? Oh. A Z?
Hold on!
Holy fuck.
Holy Jesus! What are these goddamn animals?
Holy moley! Holy moley! Cows are gonna kill me!
Holy shit. Oh, my God.
Home, sweet home. Whoa. What kind of sick shit …
Hot damn! I never rode in a convertible before!
Hot fuck. That sounds heavy.
How can I bear to see your heart break?
How could it happen?
How else can you cover a thing like this righteously?
How I wish that there were more
How long before one of us starts raving and jabbering at this boy?
How long could we maintain, I wondered.
How long had I been lying there?
How much is that lemon meringue pie?
How much is that lemon meringue pie?
How much money can you lend me?
How much you got?
How would Horatio Alger have handled this situation?
Huh?
Huh?
Hurry the fuck up!
Husquavarnas, Yamahas, DMZs.
I advised you to proceed to the next rest area … Stop!
I am very sorry, sir.
I been walking all day. Come on.
I can handle this.
I can show you better than I can tell you, ma'am.
I could already feel the stuff working on me.
I decided to eat only half of the acid at first.
I desperately needed the facts.
I didn't dare to turn the creep down.
I didn't even know who'd won the race. Maybe nobody.
I didn't think so.
I don't have much time, man. The fuckers are closing in.
I don't know about you,
I don't know about you, but I'm starting to feel that drink.
I don't know anything about no dope.
I don't know what they done to me, but I remember
I drew these from TV.
I fear nothing! Very good.
I fear nothing. Say it again!
I feel a bit lightheaded.
I feel a powerful lust for red salmon.
I feel the cottonwood whispering above
I fell down to my feet
I felt ****d. The pig had done me on all fronts.
I felt the drug culture should be represented as well.
I gave her a cap before I realized …
I give you everything and more
I give you everything I give you diamonds
I got a whole lotta money that's a ready to burn
I got all the makings right here!
I gotta get off.
I gotta keep on runnin' Gonna have me some fun
I gotta take a lot of shit in this place,
I had to get rid of the Shark.
I hadn't counted on this, finding my attorney on acid
I hate to say this but this place is getting to me.
I have my attorney …
I have this postcard which says that I have a reservation in this hotel.
I have to go. Go?
I just got back from Vietnam.
I just got through saying that.
I just wanted to cut a little Z in your forehead.
I knew I was fucked.
I knew it was a crime. I did it anyway.
I knew it.
I know the place that will excite
I know what that means, you fat goddamn pimp bastard!
I know you're the cops,
I know, I know, I know. It's hideous.
I leave you alone for three minutes
I love you! I love you!
I made all the reservations. Everything is arranged.
I made all the reservations. Everything is arranged.
I mean, if a thing's worth doing, it's worth doing right.
I mean, what is going on in this country when a scum sucker like that
I need a rising sound.
I need some fucking rest, man. Please. Please.
I need the cart. I need to return with the cart.
I needed something to cut the limes, man.
I never wanna see you again.
I pulled all his teeth out.
I recall one night in a place called the Matrix.
I remember saying something like …
I remember slumping on the bed.
I remember thinking, Jesus.
I remembered the girl.
I rented a suite at the Flamingo.
I ride the big fuckers. You know? Big ones.
I said there are no seats left, sir, at any price.
I saw these bastards in Easy Rider, but I didn't believe they were real.
I say okay.
I should go up there and castrate that fucker.
I stomped him.
I sure hope so.
I swear I'm not. I swear.
I swear to Jesus I never heard of that stuff.
I swear. All I wanted to do was clean up the room.
I think he's probably Samoan.
I think I'm getting the fear.
I think it's gonna be a long walk.
I think she'll know
I think there's only one source for this stuff,
I think there's some kind of ignorant,
I think there's something wrong with me.
I think we might be able to squeeze you in, sir.
I think we should leave that poor bastard alone.
I think we should put her on the payroll,
I think you look just like him.
I thought maybe we could use you.
I used to romp with her.
I used to think your love was something that I
I wanna know. Let me see your license.
I wanna stay clean.
I wanna talk to you for a second.
I want a manager down here, now, now!
I want to sell you some pure fucking scag!
I want you to have all the background.
I want you to understand that this man at the wheel is my attorney.
I wanted to help her, man.
I was beginning to think I was gonna have to go outside
I was born in a cross fire hurricane
I was going back to Vegas. I had no choice.
I was polishing my shoes in the closet
I was pouring sweat.
I was raised by a toothless, bearded hag
I was right in the middle of a fucking reptile zoo
I was schooled with a strap right across my back
I was sort of hoping to, I don't know, stop there for lunch.
I was sure of that much.
I wasn't even hungry.
I welcome you to the third National D.A.'s Convention
I would leave the doctor alone until after he's eaten his breakfast
I wouldn't dare go to sleep with you wandering around with a head full of acid
I'd rather not say. My brother's in politics.
I'll be in the car.
I'll be out in the casino.
I'll bet you're a Libra. Mmm.
I'll call the fuck …
I'll find where you live and burn your house down, you piece of shit!
I'll give you all the time you need.
I'll see you later. Wait. Don't touch it.
I'll take the blame, man.
I'm a Doctor of Journalism, man.
I'm a police chief from Michigan.
I'm a relatively respectable citizen.
I'm actually … I'm poolside at the Flamingo right now,
I'm addicted to your charms
I'm gonna miss him.
I'm gonna tell you …
I'm Jumpin' Jack Flash. It's a gas, gas, gas
I'm Jumpin' Jack Flash. It's a gas, gas, gas.
I'm not really sure I can answer that.
I'm trapped in some stinking desert crossroads called Baker.
I'm very lonely here.
I've been awake for too long, three or four nights, maybe. Can't even remember.
I've been fucked around in my time
I've got a gun. It's not mine, really. Get out.
I've never been able to properly explain myself in this climate.
I've never missed a plane yet.
If he figures out what is happening
If I boom straight for L.A. he'll bust me for sure.
If I could just get your John Hancock, you're on your way.
If it costs me my very last dime
If so, well, we'll just have to cut his head off and bury him somewhere.
If the pigs were gathering in Vegas,
If You don't, You're gonna have me on Your hands.
If you have any trouble, remember,
If you see it once you'll never be the same again
Ignore the nightmare in the bathroom.
Ignore this terrible drug.
Illegal drugs killed 160 American GIs last year,
Impossible to walk in this muck.
In any conventional press sense was absurd.
In fact, it's a gas
In fact, it's a gas
In my shaving kit.
In Nevada, that's illegal.
In some circles, the Mint 400 is a far, far better thing than the Super Bowl,
In that case, maybe she can help.
In that corner of time in the world, whatever it meant.
In the history of organized sport.
In this town they love a drunk. Fresh meat.
In your face motocross extravaganza!
Including yours.
Indeed. We must do it.
Inside of the possessed mind of the addict.
Into some sort of towering Jesus based rage
Into something out of a goddamn
Into the tub with me.
Intolerable vibrations in this place.
Is call this hotel again.
Is choking as the dust flies!
Is LSD.
Is now very real.
Is ours too.
Is tending the light at the end of the tunnel.
Is that I apprehended you for driving too fast.
Is that right? Well, I guess you're about ready then, aren't you?
Is that you can turn your back on a person,
Is that your car?
Is this not a reasonable place to park?
Is this really the end?
It doesn't matter, though, does it?
It doesn't pay to try to help somebody these days, huh?
It makes you behave like the village drunkard in some early Irish novel.
It seems like a lifetime, the kind of peak that never comes again.
It was absolutely imperative that we get to the Mint Hotel
It was all over now.
It was going to be very close.
It was horrible.
It was no longer a race.
It was time to get grounded,
It was to be a classic affirmation
It was too savage, too aggressive.
It won't be long now before they tear us to shreds.
It'll take him a moment to realize
It's a fantastic spectacle in honor of some fatback grosero,
It's a napkin.
It's actually from Thompson, not to him.
It's gone too fucking far.
It's gonna set my soul on fire
It's in my pocket. Come on.
It's just beautiful.
It's not my jurisdiction.
It's nothing unusual, Mr. Heem likes to meet all of our large accounts,
It's okay.
It's on my driver's license.
It's serious now, man.
It's started. Is she on stage?
It's the green flag, and they're off!
It's time to meet Barbra.
It's true.
It's wonderful to be here with all you fabulous people!
It's your turn to drive.
Jesus Christ, I knew you were sick,
Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ. We will, man.
Jesus God Almighty, man, where'd you get that big fucker?
Jesus God!
Jesus, did I say that, or just think it?
Jesus, she's never even had a drink.
Jesus, that stuff got right on top of you, didn't it?
Jesus!
Jesus. Bad waves of paranoia. Madness. Fear and loathing.
Jumpin' Jack Flash. It's a gas
Jumpin' Jack Flash. It's a gas
Jumpin' Jack Flash. It's a gas
Jumpin' Jack Flash. It's a gas
Jumpin' Jack Flash. It's a gas.
Just
Just a chat and a handshake.
Just a flat out high speed burn through Baker and Barstow and Berdoo.
Just a minute.
Just a place to rest and regroup.
Just a tiny taste.
Just admiring the shape of your skull.
Just do me one last favor, will you?
Just drive into the dust!
Just drive into the dust!
Just give me five more high speed hours
Just leave a pile of towels and soap outside the door exactly at midnight.
Just ring Linen Service and ask for Alice.
Just say you were hitchhiking to the airport, and I picked you up.
Just sit down. Sit the fuck down.
Just wait here. I'll be back.
Just what in the hell did you think you were doing?
Kawasakis, Triumphs, Maicos.
Kawasakis!
Keep that in mind.
Keep trying me, jerk off. Keep trying me.
Kill the body, the head will die.
Know them? I know these people in my goddamn blood.
Ladies and gentlemen,
Ladies and gentlemen,
Ladies and gentlemen,
Lady Luck's with me, Dice, stay hot
Las Vegas
Last name?
Late battle reports indicate …
Leave me alone.
Let me handle this.
Let me make sure I've got this all lined up.
Let me stay in your arms
Let us taste this cool desert wind.
Let's get the stuff.
Let's give that boy a lift.
Let's go.
Let's go.
Let's have it. Ah, there it is.
Let's just leave that weird fucker alone, man. Come on.
Let's rock and roll!
Let's see.
Light, sir?
Limes? What limes?
Listen, let's get down to brass tacks here.
Listen, you fuzzy little shithead!
Listen, you're gonna be real careful with this car, right?
Look at me in the eyes.
Look at me.
Look what you did! Look what you did!
Look, I want her treated very gently. She's an artist and …
Love is but a song we're singing
Love is such a sweet thing Good enough to eat
LSD.
Luckily, I had taken the soap and g****fruit
Luckily, my credit card was still technically valid.
Lucy called.
Lucy paints portraits of Barbra Streisand.
Lucy, be cool, goddamn it.
Mace! Mace, man. You want this?
Machine guns. It's a goddamn war zone!
Madam, sir, baby, child, whatever, can I pay?
Madness. It made no sense at all.
Magic moments
Maicos. Pursang!
Maintain.
Make contact with a Portuguese photographer named Lacerda.
Make me rich Make me very rich
Make sure she gets there safely.
Make the bastard chase you. He will follow.
Makes pure mescaline seem like ginger beer, man.
Mama told me not to come
Mama told me not to come
Mama told me not to come
Man, I'll try just about anything,
Man, if I put you in the pool right now,
Man, your head would swell up like a watermelon.
Many fine books have been written in prison, huh?
May I have a little kiss before you go?
May I please have that?
Maybe I'd better have a chat with this boy, I thought. I have asthma!
Maybe I'd planned it all along, subconsciously waiting for the right moment.
Maybe she's not part of it.
Maybe she's telling the truth.
Maybe so.
Maybe somebody could bring it to the room for me.
Maybe you could just
Maybe you should drive.
Me and 1,000 ranking cops from all over America.
Medical encyclopedia, man.
Medicine!
Memories we've been sharing
Men in red woolen shirts are getting incredible kicks from things he'll never know.
Mine!
Minnesota license plate TG0432 …
Mmm hmm.
Mmm?
Mmm. Really? All right. Yeah?
Money plays. Money plays.
Montana. Just to give these portraits to Barbra.
Mother of God, I thought. Here it comes.
Mother of God. There I am.
Move out of the way. Look out! Look out!
Move over. Did you see his eyes?
Mr. Duke! Mr. Duke!
Mr. Roger Pratt, please call the hotel operator.
Multiple felon, perhaps, but certainly not dangerous.
Music, man, put that tape on!
Must get some peace.
My arrival was badly timed.
My attorney had made a fool of himself.
My attorney understands this concept, despite his racial handicap.
My bags … My bags are out there in that white Cadillac convertible there.
My blood is too thick for Nevada.
My fucking leg!
My name?
My name? Tony Pizzacata.
Name, rank and press affiliation.
Never even considered for mass production.
Never mind. All right, let's get right to the heart of this thing.
Never mind. It's absolutely pure.
Never try to understand a press message.
Nine. 111!
No cash, no story for the magazine,
No footing at all.
No hassles, no talk.
No more of that talk or I'll put the fucking leeches on you. Understand?
No more of the speed that fueled the '60s.
No sympathy for the devil.
No, honey, I mean the whole pie.
No, no. Calm down.
No, she's gotta go.
No, thanks!
No, you goddamn freak! Freak!
No!
No! I'm innocent! It was Duke!
No! No, no, no. We have to go on.
No! We haven't done anything yet! Move!
No.
No.
No.
No. How's your mama?
No. Not me. Oh.
No. Okay.
No. Why not?
Nobody! I'm the maid!
North Vegas is where you go when you've fucked up once too often on the Strip.
North Vegas is where you go when you've fucked up once too often on the Strip.
Not for me.
Not in any mean or military sense, we didn't need that.
Not like this, man, not hundreds of them.
Not now, man.
Not that we needed all that for the trip,
Nothing else.
Nothing. Never mind. It's all a big joke.
Now for the doctor.
Now he has her, man!
Now hear me, you bastard! Pull over! I'll kill you!
Now it was an endurance contest.
Now that we're right in the vortex, you wanna quit?
Now the son of a bitch owns the circus.
Now this was a superior machine.
Now, because I'm sick of listening to your dog shit!
Now, calm down.
Now, it was only a matter of slipping the noose.
Now, the bricks lay on Grand Street
Now, we're going to Vegas …
Now, what the fuck are you doing out there in the middle of the desert?
Of almost every type of drug known to civilized man since 1544 A.D.
Of course I'll take advantage of that rest area.
Of course, but if I were you,
Of course, I could hear what the clerk was really saying.
Of my favorite things
Of physical and mental collapse
Of this grueling, gut wrenching, dust eating,
Often espoused by former drug abusers
Oh, ah, Debbie.
Oh, Debbie. Hmm? Look.
Oh, fuck!
Oh, fuck!
Oh, fuck.
Oh, fuck.
Oh, fuck.
Oh, God.
Oh, God.
Oh, God. Oh, God.
Oh, God. Oh, God.
Oh, God. Oh, God. Oh, God. I've got to go. I've got to …
Oh, God. Oh, God. You son of a bitch!
Oh, gosh, shit! God!
Oh, I'm gonna give it everything I've got
Oh, Lord! I'd do just about anything for that.
Oh, Lucy. I met her on the plane.
Oh, Mama
Oh, man, what a sight!
Oh, my God!
Oh, no, man. We're gonna be late. We gotta go.
Oh, no. Calm down.
Oh, no. I'll do it.
Oh, shit, they're starting. Let's go!
Oh, shit!
Oh, shit.
Oh, shit.
Oh, shit.
Oh, shit. Oh, oh.
Oh, there's blackjack and poker and the roulette wheel
Oh, they'll hear you, all right!
Oh, use me? I ride a …
Oh, yeah, listen. Nice meeting you.
Oh, yeah, man. Of course.
Oh, yeah, of course. There you are.
Oh, yeah, yeah. Oh, yeah. Okay. Bye.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, yes, I'll help you all you want.
Oh, you bastard!
Oh, you evil bastard.
Oh, you sniveling, chicken shit bastard! Stop it!
Oh. The sporting press. We're friendlies.
Ohh, ohh, yeah
Okay, bye. We'll see you later.
Okay, close those peepers. Ten.
Okay, goddamn it!
Okay?
Okay.
Okay. Be quiet, be calm.
Okay. Let's see here.
On a roll, man! I need it again!
On a screen over downtown Las Vegas.
On Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs.
On one Las Vegas hotel,
On some basic motor survival level.
On the list, then?
On you.
One more hour in this town, I'll kill somebody.
One more layer of deviance to the woman.
One of these days I'll toss a fucking bomb in that place.
One of these little incidents, will we?
One of those hellishly intense introspective nightmares.
One phone call every day.
One stitch in time on him will usually save nine
One toke over the line
One toke over the line!
One toke over the line!
One whiff of that stuff will turn you
One, two, three, four shrimp cocktails.
Ooh, ooh
Open up the window Let some air into this room
Or had I really come out here to Las Vegas to work on a story?
Or it'll be a goddamn miracle if we can get there
Or leave alone
Or maybe just a fresh adrenaline gland
Or maybe not.
Otherwise we might have to pay for our suite.
Otherwise we'll never get out of this place alive.
Otherwise, you're in bad fucking trouble.
Ou yay and I ay
Our energy would simply prevail.
Our room service tabs had been running
Our trip was different.
Our vibrations were getting nasty, but why?
Out!
Over me
Panic now, Charlie.
Panic.
Part of what?
Peanuts, man. Jesus!
Perhaps if I explain things, he'll rest easy.
Perhaps this is the call you've been waiting for all this time, sir.
Perhaps.
Pig!
Place your bets! Where everyone's a winner and nobody's a loser!
Plans?
Plenty of vultures out here that'll pick your bones clean before morning.
Prepare our suite at once. We'll be in the bar.
Probably good advice, if you have shit for brains.
Probably have this phone tapped, baby.
Probably the bartender.
Probably the only solution.
Provided we would stand quietly in the back and not smoke.
Pull ahead, will you?
Pull over!
Pull over! Come on!
Pull!
Pure Horatio Alger.
Put the knife away.
Put them on a personal basis, you know?
Put your hands where I can see them!
Put your hands where I can see them.
Quick, like a bunny. Hop! Hop!
Quick, man!
Quiet, goddamn it! You're wasting my time!
Rabbit! White Rabbit!
Raindrops on roses
Raoul Duke! On the list. Freelance.
Really, don't worry about me! Wait a minute!
Reasonable? You're on a sidewalk!
Relax. Relax!
Remember
Remember what happened at the airport, okay? Come on.
Ridiculous, man.
Right!
Right?
Right. Bullshit.
Right. Do you?
Right. Uh …
Right. You did the right thing.
Righty o, man. Righty o.
Room 1250. Lacerda.
Room 1600, please.
Room service sent it up.
Room service. Get out.
Rounding up materials and packing the car.
Sacrifice.
Sacrifice. Sacrifice.
Sacrifice. Sacrifice. Sacrifice.
Sacrifice. Sacrifice. Sacrifice. Sacrifice.
Safety, obscurity.
San Francisco in the middle '60s
Satanism freak.
Say it.
Say nothing to no one, man.
Say whatever you want, fellow!
Scag.
Scumbag!
See what she comes up with.
See you have two cases of beer, a basket of g****fruit,
See you. Tell me …
See, we're here getting a little footage on the race for
Seeing their dead grandmother crawling up their leg with a knife in her teeth,
Seems like a hot ticket.
Seldom, if ever …
Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
She is. Sold out.
She might seem a trifle high strung.
She was definitely in charge here.
She was still in the grip of paralysis when we left.
She's a lady
She's a winner
She's biting my leg off!
She's doing her Masters' thesis on, well, Barbra Streisand.
She's doing her Masters' thesis on, well, Barbra Streisand.
She's got style She's got grace
She's my problem. I'll call her, I'll get her off our backs.
She's probably stuffing herself down the incinerator about now.
She's speaking to you.
She's the kind I'd like to flaunt
Shit, let's try some lime chunks. What do you think?
Shit, man, do whatever you gotta do, but please,
Shit, shit, shit, shit, shit.
Shit!
Shit!
Shit!
Shit! Come on, you fucking bastard.
Shit! Fuck!
Shit! He's killing himself!
Shit! Hey, what're you doing? Sit down. Get the fuck …
Shit! We wandered into a fucking time capsule there.
Shit.
Shit. Fuck.
Shit. She could make us a grand a day.
Shit. Sorry.
Shit. We should get some of that.
Shit. What are friends for?
Shit. What the fuck?
Should've taken him out when I had a chance.
Shove me into the pool.
Shut up, man. Go to hell!
Sir? What?
Sir? Yeah, hi. Right. Okay.
Sitting downtown at a railway station
Sloppy dead
Smeared with mustard that had dried to a hard, yellow crust?
Smoke some grass. Shoot some fucking smack.
Smoked grass,
So do we.
So fuck you, Officer. I'm in charge.
So get those stakes up high
So I told him I'd just as soon have an ounce or so of pure adrenochrome.
So now, less than 5 years later,
So they put us through the turnstiles and turned us loose inside.
So tonight, to you,
So Viva Las Vegas
So why don't
Some angry Rotarian shoves you
Some asshole wrote a poem about that once.
Some may come and some may go
Some of what?
Some people are just basically rotten.
Some son of a bitch just kicked me in the back.
Some sugar in your tea?
Somebody stop them!
Somebody stop them!
Something ugly had happened. I was sure of it.
Somewhere between 29 and 36 dollars per hour
Son of a bitch. You pushed me.
Sorry, sir. Full house. I'm sorry, sir.
Sounds beautiful.
Sounds like real trouble.
Splintered memories looming up out of the time fog.
Splintered memories looming up out of the time fog.
Stack of T shirts and towels, light bulbs.
States
Stay calm. Stay calm.
Step right over … Nothing. I want nothing.
Step right up and shoot the pasties off the nipples of a 10 foot bull dyke
Still humping the American Dream,
Stoned, ripped …
Stop, stop, stop.
Stop!
Straight economics, man. This girl's a godsend.
Straight into frantic oblivion,
Strange behavior of late
Strange behavior of late
Strange memories on this nervous night in Las Vegas.
Strangers in the night
Suddenly there was a terrible roar all around us.
Sure, and I'll call you a cocksucker!
Sure, that's a good idea.
Swedish Fireballs.
Sweet Jesus, it's him. Oh, my God!
Sweet, sweet Mary!
Swelling up on your back.
Take the ticket.
Talking about my little lady
Talking through a portable phone some dwarf brought out from the casino.
Tammy, Tammy
Tammy's in love
Tape recorder for special music.
Taxi!
Tell them to get out their fucking golf shoes!
Ten grand worth of gimmicks and high priced special effects.
Terrible gibberish.
Terrible things were happening all around us.
Than a man in the depths of an ether binge,
Thank God for decent people.
Thank God.
Thank you kindly.
Thank you very much.
Thank you very much. Thank you.
Thank you.
That bastard cashed a bad check downstairs
That cigarette you're smoking about scared me half to death
That dirty toad bastard.
That girl understood, man.
That he actually believed he was being attacked by invisible enemies.
That he helped create.
That he's about to make a 180 degree turn, at speed.
That I had a swingin' time
That rotten attorney of mine, Dr. Gonzo, was gone.
That says you're about to turn right.
That scene straightened me right out, man.
That sense of inevitable victory over the forces of old and evil.
That somebody or at least some force
That vision of the big winner somehow emerging
That was headquarters. They want me to …
That was our cocaine, you pig!
That was the fatal flaw in Tim Leary's trip.
That way we won't have to risk another
That we were winning.
That whatever we were doing was right,
That'll blast you right through the wall.
That's 10.
That's argh! Argh!
That's argh! Argh?
That's better. That's better.
That's just what they want us to do.
That's Lacerda's.
That's Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds.
That's Mr. Duke, the famous journalist.
That's not gonna help me.
That's our problem.
That's right, Inspector Rock will pay you in cash.
That's right. Laugh about it.
That's right. Music!
That's so ugly, man.
That's that.
That's that.
That's the last we should be hearing from Lucy, man.
That's the name of a horse I used to own, ma'am.
That's the press table, man.
That's ugly, man. Stop talking like that.
That's what gives me the fear.
The … The … The … What?
The absolute cream of the national sporting press.
The acid had shifted gears on him.
The acid was long gone.
The adrenaline gland
The airport's over there.
The American Dream come true, man.
The Americana Hotel. What did you do with my goddamn shoes?
The Bazooko Casino Circus proudly presents,
The bill was a factor, I think,
The bill. All right.
The child in the bedroom.
The dashboard was full of esoteric lights and dials and meters
The decision to flee came suddenly.
The Desert Inn is proud to present the one, the only,
The desperate assumption
The dope fiend fears nothing.
The dope fiend fears nothing.
The ether was wearing off.
The first wave felt like a combination of mescaline and methedrine.
The Flying Fellinis!
The game was up. They had me.
The general back alley ambience of the suite was so rotten,
The goddamn dope ring.
The idea of trying to cover this race
The incomparable Miss Debbie Reynolds!
The Kentucky Derby
The man who will define this cancer eating at the heart of America.
The mentality of Las Vegas is so grossly atavistic
The mind recoils in horror,
The minute you hear that, you say, I fear nothing.
The most efficient way for us to do this is for each one of us
The name rang a bell, but I couldn't concentrate.
The next phase would probably be
The North Star Coffee Lounge seemed like a fairly safe haven from our storms.
The only chance now, I felt
The only thing that really worried me was the ether.
The owner always wanted to run away and join the circus when he was a kid.
The place fairly reeked of high grade Formica and plastic palm trees.
The police will be coming after you.
The poor bastard'll see them soon enough.
The possibility
The question mark was emphasized.
The race was definitely underway.
The racers were ready at dawn.
The really big fuckers. Yeah.
The rear end for stress factors.
The rear windows leapt up with a touch like frogs in a dynamite pond.
The sight of the blade had triggered bad memories.
The top is completely jammed. You're right.
The top is completely jammed. You're right.
The whole pie.
Then he becomes groovy.
Then onto the Hollywood Freeway,
Then the cops came and took him away.
Then they're gonna come up here and beat the mortal shit out of you
There are a hell of a lot of them at 4:30 on a Sunday morning,
There he goes. One of God's own prototypes.
There is nothing in the world more helpless
There was a fantastic universal sense
There was absolutely no choice but to cut her adrift …
There was every reason to believe that we'd been heading for trouble,
There was madness in any direction, at any hour.
There was no one around to answer it.
There was nothing in the atmosphere of the North Star
There was something like 190 more bikes waiting to start.
There we go. Right.
There you go, buddy.
There you go. Much better.
There'd be no point, man, calling the cops.
There's a thousand pretty women waitin' out there
There's no choice.
There's one thing you should probably understand.
There's someone at the door.
There's something wrong with the motor.
There's two women fucking a polar bear.
These are a few
These cops'll go 50 bucks a head
These puddles of glazed ketchup on the bureau?
They are cool, groovy,
They chopped her goddamn head off right there in the parking lot.
They continue killing innocent people!
They didn't have any.
They don't grow in the desert.
They gave you what?
They must have brought the car around by now.
They probably searched the room, man.
They want me to go to Las Vegas at once.
They were after the pineal gland, I think.
They were ready to call the cops.
They'd have to put you in a wheelbarrow.
They'd have to put you in a wheelbarrow.
They'd like any excuse to shoot us.
They'll hunt me down like a fucking beast.
They'll never fuck with us here.
They're actually pretty nice people once you get to know them.
They're all waitin' The devil may care
They've spotted us.
This car is property of the World Bank. That money goes to Italy.
This here model is one that we had to use
This is a very ominous assignment
This is bat country.
This is fixed.
This is fuckin' bullshit.
This is important, goddamn it! This is a fucking true story!
This is it, the American Dream.
This is not a good town for psychedelic drugs.
This is not a parking area! Debbie Reynolds?
This is not a parking area! You've got to move your car!
This is the American Dream in action.
This is the craziest party there could ever be
This is the place, man.
This is to let him know you're pulling off for a proper place to talk.
This is wrong. It arouses contempt in the cop heart.
This is Your work. You better take care of me, Lord.
This man suffers from a bad heart.
This race attracts a very special breed.
This room is in my name.
This same lonely desert was the last known home of the Manson family.
This telegram came for you.
This was Bob Hope's turf,
This was not the time for a showdown.
This was the Sixth Reich.
Those of us who had been up all night
Though the bird is on the wing
Threatening the locals, abusing the tourists,
Three? Four?
Throw this thing into the tub when White Rabbit peaks, is that it?
Tied up with strings
To approve of what is happening,
To be lies
To be suffocated.
To beat her into submission and then gang fuck her.
To chew on.
To croak a scag baron named Savage Henry.
To ponder this rotten assignment
To put me on my guard.
To rent a very fast car with no top.
To see your heart break
To some kind of outback Nazi law enforcement agency
To the grim meat hook realities that were lying in wait
Tony Pizzacata.
Too many people might recognize it, especially the Vegas police.
Too weird to live,
Tooling along the main drag on a Saturday night in Vegas.
Total control now.
Total coverage.
Total loss of all basic motor skills.
Truth?
Try to love one another
Try to love one another right now
Turn on the tape machine.
Turning night into daytime
Twenty. We change a 20.
Two club sandwiches,
Two fifths of Bacardi, some ice for the room, and let's see …
Two glasses of ice water with ice.
Two glasses of ice water with ice.
Two good old boys in a fire apple red convertible.
Two.
U.S. Interstate 15.
Uff stay out of the unk tray.
Uh, buy the ticket …
Uh, take the ride.
Unable to communicate with the spinal column,
Until I find something that works in this dust!
Vegas.
Vegas.
Very.
Vincent Black Shadow.
Visitors of all ages,
Viva Las Vegas
Viva Las Vegas
Viva Las Vegas
Viva Las Vegas
Viva Las Vegas
Viva Las Vegas turning day into nighttime
Viva Las Vegas where the neon signs are flashing
Viva, Viva
Wait!
Wait! We can't stop here.
Wait.
Waiting for me to make a run for L.A.
Want me to call the cops?
Want some whiskey in your water? Room service!
Wanted to stomp you for what you said to the waitress.
Wanting to slice me up with that goddamn knife.
Was I just roaming around in a drug frenzy of some kind?
Was the possibility that we'd gone to such excess
Was there no communication in this car?
Was to get you out of there, man.
We came here to find the American Dream.
We can keep her loaded, and then peddle her ass at the drug convention.
We can make the mountains ring
We can set her up in one of these backstreet motels,
We don't show him, but I figured he might be part of your team.
We drove all the way from L.A. for this show.
We finally made it to the room,
We had a real freak on our hands!
We have to get out of California before that kid finds a cop.
We need help.
We need help. We need help.
We need some opium.
We need total coverage!
We should get the hell out. What a fucking nightmare.
We wanted strong drink.
We were gathered here in Las Vegas
We were riding the crest of a high and beautiful wave.
We were, after all
We won't make the nut unless we have unlimited credit.
We'd abused every rule that Vegas lived by.
We'd had a problem with her in the elevator a few hours earlier.
We'll be right back, Lucy.
We're all riders of the storm.
We're friends of Debbie's.
We're friends with Debbie.
We're going over to the Americana tonight to meet her backstage.
We're gonna be killed, for fuck's sake!
We're gonna need a sound store.
We're here to spit in your enemy's eye!
We're just good, patriotic Americans like yourself.
We're not like the others, man. Really.
We're responsible people.
We're sitting on the main nerve right now.
We're with the factory team.
We're your friends.
We've already paid for our goddamn room!
We've been looking for you.
We've got rooster tails going!
Welcome to the Mint Hotel!
Welcome to the start of the $50,000 Mint 400 Desert Race.
Well …
Well, all this white stuff on my sleeve
Well, as your attorney, I advise you to buy a motorcycle.
Well, electric snake coming straight at us.
Well, fuck, truth hurts. That's Argh!
Well, how far is Baker?
Well, I figure she can do about four at a time.
Well, I like the way you did that.
Well, I, uh …
Well, I'll take that into consideration.
Well, impress her with me.
Well, it's actually a very fine place of lodging,
Well, let's have lunch!
Well, my manager, Mr. Heem, would like to meet him.
Well, she always knows her place
Well, she's all you'd ever want
Well, they've nailed me, goddamn it.
Well, this is how the world works.
Well, tough titty.
Well, we're gonna have to drum it up on our own.
Well, what are your plans?
Well, why not?
Well, why not?
Well, you'll go straight to the gas chamber for this one.
Well.
Were in no mood for coffee and donuts.
What a fool I was to defy him.
What a race it's gonna be.
What a terrible thing to lay on somebody with a head full of acid.
What are we doing here?
What are we doing out here on this godforsaken road?
What are you doing in Baker? Didn't you get my telegram?
What do you ride?
What for?
What happened? Oh.
What happened? What about the glands?
What I put in my book, as of noon,
What I should do, goddamn it, is call the fucking police!
What if I just jump on you and beat the dog shit out of you?
What is this shit? That stuff
What is this?
What kind of addict would need all these coconut husks
What kind of monster client have you hooked up with this time?
What kind of rat bastard psychotic
What kind of story is this?
What Leary took down with him was the central illusion of a whole lifestyle
What outfit you fellows with?
What the …
What the … Oh, no. Oh, God. Oh, God.
What the dormouse said
What the fuck are these people talking about?
What the fuck are we doing out here in the middle of the desert?
What the fuck do you mean?
What the fuck?
What the hell do you think you're doing?
What was I doing out here?
What was that?
What will he think then?
What, may I ask, is your name, sir?
What, three?
What?
What?
What?
What? Lucy called, man.
What? Lucy called.
What? No, not dead.
What? No!
What's all these crazy questions they're asking me?
What's going on?
What's next?
What's the trouble?
What's your name?
Whatever you say, gentlemen.
When a Stingray in front of us killed a pedestrian.
When I came to,
When I noticed her sneaking in, so I took her.
When it comes to a thing like this, they don't fool around.
When it comes to that fantastic note,
When it comes to that fantastic note,
When my attorney starts screaming about bats
When the garden flowers
When the rabbit bites its own head off.
When the truth is found
When we knew he was right here in the hotel.
When we took on them little peckerheads down there at Kent State.
When will the doctor be awake?
Where are my shoes?
Where are you, you fucking monkey? You can't do that!
Where did this one come from?
Where logic
Where'd he go?
Where'd you get this?
Where's the ape, man? Where's the ape?
Where's the ether? Mescaline's not working.
Whew.
Who are these people, these faces?
Who fed her liquor and LSD,
Who said anything about slicing you up, man?
Who thought they could buy peace and understanding for three bucks a hit.
Who's Lacerda? Lacerda?
Whoa, whoa, whoa
Why do you think we're here?
Why not move confidently into their midst?
Why should I fuck with children? he said. They're too small.
Why should I pay my hard earned dollars to watch a fucking corpse?
Why the fuck can't they make it a little less pure?
Why, yes, Officer.
Why?
Why? Because I've known him for years but he ripped us off.
Why? Why what?
Will you sign for it? Yeah, I'll get it. Hurry up.
With a bit of luck, his life was ruined forever.
With a fire hose, man.
With a spike right through my head
With his throbbing, uncircumcised member.
With intent to commit capital fraud and a head full of acid?
With overtones of extreme personal danger.
With the Memphis blues again
Within you dies
Without ever giving a thought
Would he make that grim connection
Would play that song right now, at this moment?
Would that make you feel any better, you filthy bastard?
Would the presence of junkies account for all these uneaten French fries?
Wouldn't you love somebody to love
Yeah, don't get me started.
Yeah, explaining my position.
Yeah, good boy.
Yeah, he's waiting for us on the 12th floor.
Yeah, I checked the register for this man Thompson.
Yeah, I know, it was horrible, but it's all over now.
Yeah, I know, Lucy, but you can't judge a book by its cover.
Yeah, I know. I'm guilty. I understand that.
Yeah, it's me.
Yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah I frowned
Yeah, yeah, righto. Okay, yeah. Bye.
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I was crowned
Yeah, you understand.
Yeah?

You bastard!
You bastard.
You bastard. I've been hit, man!
You better be careful.
You better find somebody to love
You better put that goddamn blade away, man.
You brainless scumbag, you're supposed to be in Vegas.
You can almost see the high water mark,
You can always send a telegram to the right people.
You can go up a steep hill in Las Vegas and look west
You can't leave me alone in this snake pit.
You can't park … Hey!
You can't park on the sidewalk!
You can't park your car here!
You can't park your car here. Excuse me. Sir!

You know? Yeah.
You listen to me, you son of a bitch.
You mean that blonde groupie with the film crew?
You motorcycle people sure are hearty eaters.
You must be a rider. Hmm?

You understand.
You wanna impress her?
You want me to

You will go straight to prison for the rest of your life.
You will not be able to see his eyes, because of Tea Shades,
You won't need much.
You'd better take care of your friend.
You'd better wet those bandannas you got stretched over your face!
You'd do that, wouldn't you?
You'd gain about 100 pounds in two hours.
You'd go blind.
You'll be 200 feet tall!
You'll be contacted by Inspector Rock, Arthur Rock.
You'll be stone dead in 10 seconds.
You'll be stone dead in 10 seconds.
You'll have to stand in the back.
You'll just wither up and die.
You'll sink like a goddamn stone.

You're damn right we would.
You're doomed.
You're fired.
You're getting to be a habit with me
You're going the wrong way. The next left.
You're gonna be fine, though. You're doing well.
You're gonna need plenty of legal advice before this thing is over.
You're just as much a part of it as they are.
You're not mine. You're in the wrong room. Get out! Get the fuck out!
You're not Portuguese, man!
You're right.
You're supposed to be covering the National District Attorney's conference.
You're under arrest! She must have used a pass key.
You've got to be crazy on acid to think a joint looks like a goddamn cockroach.
Your life may depend on it.
Your normal speeder will panic and immediately pull over to the side.
