A message to Rachel from Ross,
Aah! Oh, that's fuzz. That's fuzz.
About do we really want Ross and Rachel to get together?
About life and true friendship.
About the show as a group, that we will do this.
Across all platforms.
Action.
Action.
Action.
Actually kiss is gonna be on national television."
Actually, it looks really good.
Actually, it's "Miss Chanandler Bond."
Adiós, arrivederci, au revoir.
After seeing that,
After that, we always did it.
After the show was over, at a party or any kind of
After the table draft, you came to me and you go,
All these guys were fantastic.
All those good things in order for there to be stories.
All those years ago.
Alright, fine. You go ahead and you do that.
Alright, ladies, ladies, you're up.
Alright, ladies.
Alright, let's cut.
Alright, okay, guys, you're up.
Alright, Ross?
Alright, Tom, you have a bonus question.
Alright, we got one.
Alright, well, where's the tissue box?
Alright.
Alright.
Alright.
Alright. Alright. I get it, Ross.
Alright. Okay.
Alright. Okay. Let's go...
Although it's pretty empty, it's a great place.
And "Friends" was what I came home to.
And "We wrote this for you."
And "What do you want?" And at first, it's very jarring.
And a huge, like, chunk of meat came off my nose.
And be able to make new friends, especially ladies.
And boost our confidence
And costumes over the 10 seasons of "Friends,"
And Courteney had a pink babydoll tee
And cut.
And David Schwimmer starts telling them to pivot.
And do its thing right at the, you know, at the perfect time.
And do you even have a point?
And Elliott said to me,
And fell face first into the toilet.
And for the first time through the casting process,
And for those who don't like the show, just, uh...
And forged this very tight relationship
And genuineness about her, where she just made you feel
And give it to you.
And had to go to the bathroom, and I got up too fast.
And he killed it, and he got the part as Joey.
And he said, you know,
And he said... he goes, "I I saw that show.
And he... he came on board.
And hiding it, which did give us a lot of funny stuff.
And how come you never said anything to me?
And how that's gonna happen.
And how your character just came to life
And I actually, tail between my legs,
And I can't believe I'm telling this,
And I completely agree,
And I could hear the helicopter over my house.
And I hit my nose on the bottom of the toilet seat
And I just kind of went to pieces.
And I just looked at him, and I went
And I just remember sitting with these five other people
And I just won $1 million.
And I know when you think of Sputnik,
And I know you. It was all so calculated.
And I once heard them say,
And I realize what, like, this true addiction
And I remember looking at it going "What the ..."
And I said to my daughter, "Watch this.
And I said, "Please release me from this show.
And I saw it and I asked you,
And I think it kind of created...
And I think it was on the final callback.
And I think she was like the advocate for her kids,
And I think we both at some point,
And I think we've all been there.
And I thought, you know, I know her.
And I told the truth and got the job so...
And I was like, "Oh, okay. That's why I've been losing out
And I was like, "Well, I don't understand."
And I was like, "Whoa. Holy shit. This is crazy."
And I was like, "Yeah, that's a good idea."
And I was tired from digging the huge hole.
And I was weeping.
And I wear overly tight trousers.
And I went just to jump over the coffee table
And I'm a potato.
And I'm always in hotels.
And I'm like, "Oh, look at that. Let's see which one it is."
And I'm looking close at the screen, and my roof is a mess.
And I'm looking in the mirror and it's bleeding.
And I'm thinking,
And if a joke didn't land, even if we loved that joke,
And if it had... if CBS had picked it up,
And immediately resonated with people.
And it comes alive.
And it happened to be the one with the leather pants.
And it just wasn't... it was... it was time for Marcel to...
And it makes me smile to almost the point of crying.
And it said "fast talking New Yorker,"
And it was an aerial shot, live, of each of our houses.
And it was an incredibly lovely, moving night.
And it was his iconic line and I was so excited.
And it was nothing.
And it was really, really, really funny.
And it was so moving.
And it was the last part we cast.
And it's funnier than anything they could have ever said.
And it's inconceivable to me that there weren't
And it's like a big, ugly scab on my nose.
And it's not healthy for sure.
And it's... it's...
And Joey runs and jumps into the chair.
And Joey walks in and he goes...
And just open and give... give the monkey live grubs to eat.
And just waiting for, you know, for us to roll,
And keep them located just on our sets
And Marta Kauffman said, "What happened to your face?"
And meanwhile, my husband, Jeffrey, was writing
And Monica and Chandler are in bed together.
And my husband to marry me, and that's exactly what I did.
And my legs went up in the air
And my rabbi stopped me and asked me about Ross and Rachel
And my shoulder came out of the socket.
And names were...
And next up, perhaps the most famous look of them all,
And none of it...
And nothing really in that dialogue suggests
And one day we came to work and they said,
And producing on "Mad About You," and he said,
And quite quickly, everyone gets into trouble.
And scene.
And she was right.
And so that was the end of filming
And sometimes director of "Friends."
And sure as shit, I've got some leaks up there.
And that combined with when the monkey was resting
And that kind of sucked me into it.
And that Phoebe was gonna be happy and had a life.
And that she herself was more of a Monica.
And that this was the only guy to play it.
And that was at the beginning, so we thought we were on a roll.
And that was it.
And that was it.
And that's just such a great feeling to carry forever.
And that's the show where Ross and Monica
And the chair fell over.
And the creators of the show are here tonight
And the final time, you came in.
And the girls are the winners.
And the minute I set eyes on him and he opened his mouth,
And the show really taught me the things
And the way... do you remember how
And the whole time, you couldn't drop the ball.
And then after that,
And then came about two and a half months
And then goes to pull the door open.
And then he comes back and it all escalates.
And then hearing all of you for the first time,
And then Jennifer came in.
And then Joey remembered something.
And then just... and I didn't know that that's what you did.
And then someone from Warner Bros. actually was
And then we get the script and, of course,
And then we had a blast.
And then we lost.
And then we'd stay up all night watching it together.
And then you go on to another pilot."
And there's so many comedy skills there.
And they had already shot six episodes of this show,
And they kiss.
And they start taking the couch up the stairs
And they wouldn't laugh, and I would sweat
And they've got to take him to the hospital.
And thinking,
And this is just a simple yes or no answer.
And thought "This show is never going.
And to watch a famous character say his famous line, come on.
And was it always purple, that wall?
And we are... I should say we are shooting now
And we discussed perhaps sort of ambivalent endings
And we even shot not only the pilot,
And we had to beg him and beseech him.
And we need to pay attention.
And we only hung out every night.
And we ordered pizza and beer, people signed the flats,
And we really did feel like their parents.
And we really did feel we were because they're so sweet.
And we really saw Courteney as kind of a Rachel at the time.
And we saw actor after actor, and it wasn't funny.
And we thought that could be a show.
And we thought we'd take a look
And we took this big risk to cast her,
And we went, "No, this is 'Friends.'
And we were eating dinner and "Friends" is on.
And we would listen to the audience.
And we'd have some fun with it afterward
And we'll see who wins.
And we've literally just sort of slipped right back
And what's Phoebe doing?
And when I heard that on my car one day,
And when I'm feeling a little bit low,
And when Matthew reads that dialogue, it sparkles
And when they were gonna get together
And where's Joey?
And with Michael J. Fox on "Family Ties."
And would love for all of you
And writer Marta Kauffman.
And yelling and behind barricades.
And you are making me laugh every day.
And you know what?
And you told me to mind my business.
And you were going to talk to that person
And you were like, "Maybe we can have fun with this."
And you were not... you were scared.
And you were struggling with it all week long,
And you wrote it on the table,
And, David, I know that at the time,
And, ladies and gentlemen,
And, like, slipping and smacking yourself in the head.
And, of course, we had one of my idols, Sean Penn.
And, um... I can't.
And, yeah, I don't want anyone's happy ending unraveled.
And... and just, like, go into convulsions.
Anything massively comic.
Anyway, everybody, oh, my God.
Anyway, I I tried,
Are masters of physical comedy.
Are trying to keep it a secret that they've been hooking up.
Are we gonna watch this? His arm getting pulled out?
Aren't you gonna give me a kiss?
As far as bridesmaid dresses go,
As it's probably getting in the way now.
As the Holiday Armadillo.
As they're both like, "Oh, my God, what did we do?"
At least to me,
At some of those iconic costumes right here tonight
At the door staring back at her.
At the end of the hall there.
At the taping of "2194"
At the top of their game, and great chemistry.
At, you know, an elementary school.
Auditioned at the network, at NBC with another actor,
Averaging 25 million viewers a week.
Basically any place I went,
Because each character is so distinct
Because he has a huge speech to make, and he's nervous.
Because he's not just a character.
Because I don't believe the acting that I'm doing,
Because I felt I had friends around me.
Because I know it's not true,
Because I was like, "Somebody is getting a laugh.
Because I'm a clean freak.
Because if she doesn't, people die.
Because it wasn't even an episode
Because one of us was always in a relationship.
Because the monkey didn't do its job right.
Because there was a pilot that was coming into
Because they hired me in second position,
Because we haven't grown.
Because you all make me laugh so hard.
Because you just walk into my room
Before I found out about you.
Before they got back together.
Ben. One of our biggest laughs ever.
Big center table here, and Enger would cook...
Bless you. Maggie Wheeler, everybody.
But back then, we had three per camera.
But can you complete the lyrics?"
But everything Courteney brought to it
But go ahead and announce that again.
But he takes the cushions with him.
But here I'm thinking "Greatest actor in the world,
But I couldn't.
But I do remember you're the first person I saw.
But I feel that way about anything I do
But I kind of blacked out, as you do,
But I know I'm part of the Geller family.
But I mean, as a woman, you have to take control of your life.
But I would sometimes say a line,
But it was a really hard working night for us
But it was like two ships passing
But it was such a powerful moment
But it wasn't until I was walking through the airport...
But like anything good, it's sad when it's over.
But none of the rest of the cast knows.
But on "Mad About You," she had more of an edge.
But once he got them on, he couldn't get them off again,
But probably three episodes of "Friends"
But right after, you have to tell me who the hell you are.
But Ross doesn't know. So you have to stop screaming.
But she still is in charge of the bake sale
But so desperately wanted to be part of the show,
But so we just channeled all of our adoration and love
But the different one or the one that was really herself.
But the funny thing about it is
But the monkey didn't hit its mark,
But the only other people who really knew what it was like
But the second time I came in and looked like this.
But the way the audience reacted,
But there was just too much pressure, so... so I, uh...
But they also worked so well together.
But they had to understand you had met somebody special to you
But they were on every magazine.
But this will be the last time that we're ever asked
But to watch you guys, I was just so proud to be on the show.
But together, you get this great repartee, all the actors
But was there anything that you didn't like?
But we waited until he was okay again
But what inevitably began to happen
But what they do in that time
But why didn't I get points for getting the name right?!
But you had this, like, big speech,
But you remember the beginning of the week
But, um, I'm gonna go use ugly naked guy's bathroom.
But, you know, we have such a bond
By the end, it got smashed.
By the way, Griffith Park has the best picnic areas.
Came in to help Joey.
Can I just say something?
Can I just say...
Can we hear it again?
Can you identify the voice?"
Cara Delevingne, ladies and gentlemen,
Cara Delevingne.
Cara is modeling Rachel's bridesmaid dress
Casting the show was really hard,
Celebration of that.
Chandler and Joey have been fighting over this chair,
Chandler and Monica are standing close together.
Chandler and Monica! Chandler and Monica!
Check it out, check it out, check it out, check it out.
Christina Pickles and Elliott Gould, everybody.
Come on, I want to see everyone.
Come on, let's do a huddle. Come on.
Come on.
Could he be wearing any more clothes?
Could I be wearing any more clothes?
Could I be wearing any more clothes?
Could you be any later?
Couldn't believe all these people
Courteney brought this incredible joy to the character.
Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer,
Courteney, Courteney, is that correct?
COVID tested.
Creating the arts program and the music thing and all that.
Cue the music.
Cut!
Cut.
Cut.
Cut. Alright.
Damn.
David was not a fan.
David, how have you found this time?
Did she get off the plane?!
Did someone call for the long arm of the law?
Did we all sign this at the end?
Did you go next door?
Did you take anything from the set besides...
Did you tell the doctor you did it
Didn't quite realize how far it would go.
Difficult to conduct an interview.
Do not take it off.
Do you enjoy them when you watch them?
Do you have a question?
Do you know what the difference is?
Do you remember the episode where
Do you remember the first table read ever?
Do you remember what color you were?
Do you think he knew I was here?
Do you want to sit for a sec?
Does Courteney still have her lines written on the table?
Does it seem smaller to anyone else?
Doesn't matter.
Don't.
Done. Okay.
Each one of them is a leading character.
Each team will answer a set of trivia questions, okay?
Eh. See...
Eliot, Christina, I'm keen to know,
Ended up taking the longest amount of time to shoot.
Enjoy Los Angeles.
Even if they don't know them. I am one.
Every little thing, like pulling the pants up
Everybody ended up getting in on it.
Everybody was screaming
Everybody's got their favorite episodes.
Everyone will leave.
Everyone's lives are very nice, and they would have to unravel
Everything came together.
Eww!
Excuse me. Excuse me.
Fantastic.
First of all, I want to say I love animals.
Five, six, seven, eight.
Floopy, stop.
Floosh!
For a pilot we'd done the year before.
For a spin?
For all of us on "Friends"
For each other into Ross and Rachel.
For me when I watch it, it's... I'm...
For the cast of "Friends"?
For the rest of the night.
Four cameras, like, the choreography was incredible.
From Barry and Mindy's wedding in Season 2.
From Fred Segal with a white trim.
From having done this show
From here to over there.
From London and Monica and Chandler
From this lineup...
Front and back is correct.
Furious, Rachel locks the three locks on the front door.
Gentlemen?
Gentlemen.
Get in here. Come on. Get in here. Hug it out.
Gidney, tell me something.
Go wait in the hall.
God, I had so many...
God, I hate her, Ross. I hate her.
Good for her.
Good to see you. You all look great.
Good.
Great seeing you guys. Great seeing you.
Great to see you.
Great. Now. Thanks.
Gunther himself, everybody!
Gunther himself.
Guys who liked women, but they weren't funny.
Ha ha, I win!
Ha ha, I win.
Had like $11 in his pocket when he auditioned.
Has anybody got a question tonight
Hat in hand, went to the producer of the show I was on
Have fun, pal.
He cannot play at our wedding.
He did.
He enjoys them more than I do
He goes, "Then we should go out drinking."
He had already signed on for another sitcom.
He hadn't done an awful lot.
He ran in, he looked at his mark...
He spins the lines in a way that they're his.
He storms out.
He'd done another show, but he hadn't done an awful lot.
He's got jokes. He's got, like, actual real jokes.
He's had a miserable experience doing another show.
He's here.
He's here. It's Gunther.
He's joining us on Zoom right now.
He's moved back to Chicago to just do theater.
Heads.
Heckles!
Hello, James Corden.
Hello.
Hello.
Hello.
Hello. Oh, you smell good, too.
Her kids are probably not even in... you know,
Here I am on the set of "Friends"
Here was my problem.
Here we go, pivot.
Here you go.
Here's Courteney Cox.
Hey, guys. Hey, do you remember the one
Hey, how you doin'?
Hey, I was doing great before I found out about you.
Hey, I've been doing it since the ninth grade.
Hey, it's me. Coming in.
Hey, it's Phoebe.
Hey, that's the answer.
Hey, there was one Italian guy, okay?
Hey, what's up, everybody?
Hey! Hey, you guys! Hey!
Hey.
Hey.
Hi.
Hi. Is Rachel here? I'm her sister.
His hangdog expression stuck with us.
Honest, this will really make me cry,
Honestly, I remember saying one time to David,
Hot, good looking, successful actors.
How about "Here's where I win all my money back"?
How are you doing?
How are you feeling to be together,
How are you?
How are you? Ohh.
How can you keep straight a face?
How could it not be?
How did you do that?
How did you do that?
How great, though, ultimately,
How many pages was that letter?"
How much do you have that's good?
How much do you stay in touch?
How often do we have steak on the menu?
How you doin'?
How you doin'? Damn it, Carl.
However, I'm...
Hug it out. Hug it out.
I always used the corner...
I believe we sent him gift baskets.
I better not do any, I don't know, lunges.
I can't belie... Oh, I just looked right at you.
I can't believe Emma's still asleep.
I can't believe I never realized how... how great it is.
I can't believe you didn't say me.
I can't handle it.
I can't quite be specific about which one,
I cannot tell you how incredible it is
I could not have imagined just a better experience.
I couldn't stand. I couldn't... I couldn't walk.
I did a pilot a year and I thought,
I didn't know then.
I didn't know you did that.
I didn't know, like, kind of what to expect coming into this.
I didn't try, Rachel, but things got in the way,
I do remember what Courteney and you wore.
I do. I know. And Joey knows.
I don't hear from anyone.
I don't know how we got through actual scenes.
I don't know when that happened.
I don't know why it was so funny.
I don't remember how... I remember what you wore.
I don't remember that.
I don't remember what the boys wore.
I don't remember what,
I don't remember where I was going...
I don't think we can turn anymore.
I don't want to see pain.
I feel emotional about it now that I think about it.
I felt like I was gonna die if they didn't laugh.
I felt this rewarding feeling.
I felt very, very special.
I felt, after the initial shock
I found my Monica.
I found myself, like,
I got off the plane.
I got stung.
I got the ladder out and went up on the roof
I got the stage fright.
I got to say, great question.
I guess it was, I don't remember what day of the week.
I guess so.
I had a major crush on Jen.
I had gone... I had gone with a friend of mine to run lines
I had to call the roofer and have them come over and fix it.
I happened to have the news on, and on the TV,
I have memory issues.
I have no recollection of the gift basket.
I have nothing against animals.
I have really enjoyed today. I really have.
I have the original ball from the foosball table.
I have to do this."
I haven't done this in a long time.
I hear someone.
I I grew up there.
I I just... She lives in me. That's it.
I just can't believe that you think
I just couldn't bend that way, so...
I just happened to be in the kitchen with Maureen
I just love these people and I am having so much fun."
I just put it on
I just started crying.
I just thought everyone was so perfectly cast.
I just wanted to make sure I factored in there somewhere.
I knew it was going to be awesome
I knew it was going to end, and I didn't want it to end.
I knew it!
I knew that is the way I wanted to ask my soul mate
I knew you were gonna do it.
I know it!
I know what'll get us up on a platform.
I know. I know. I actually know.
I know. It's worse than you imagine.
I know. What are we going to do?
I like that. Great.
I love "Smelly Cat." It's one of my favorite songs.
I love primates.
I love the episode where they've just returned home
I love the Thanksgiving ones, but I also... I loved
I love this apartment. Isn't it perfect?
I love this show that I'm doing right now.
I love you so much.
I mean, come on.
I mean, it was an incredible time.
I mean, Jen, what were your first impressions
I mean, that was like... I watched it the other day,
I mean, this is an incredibly selfish, self involved,
I mean, this is beautiful.
I mean, this is incredible.
I mean, this is the good... this is the hunk.
I mean, we definitely pulled from our lives.
I mean, we were really, really proud of the show,
I mean, will you allow me to ask
I need to get... I need to get a laugh too."
I need to watch this series.
I never knew she did that. And I saw it.
I put on "Friends" because it makes me smile.
I realize that "Oh, I'm a... I'm a potato."
I really enjoyed the energy of the audience, though.
I really wanted to savor every minute of it.
I remember I had gone in a bunch of times,
I remember one time I was... It was middle of the week,
I remember that moment, all of us up
I remember they were awfully nice to us.
I said Larry Hankin.
I say transponster.
I still think it's better when it's just me.
I think "Friends" has this magic
I think he probably opened a sandwich shop in Venice Beach.
I think it's 2.
I think my character, Monica, is still really competitive.
I think my favorite was I was dropping my kids off,
I think one of the reasons "Friends" is so funny
I think people were starting to say, "Hey,"
I think that moment was the beginning
I think that should go to the girls, then.
I think that's why we didn't do it.
I think we ended up getting married, and we had some kids.
I think we were in 18 different languages.
I think we've got another question.
I think you were... you were doing a lot of theater.
I think you're like Joey 100%,
I thought back on the very first year or two, you know,
I thought Chandler was gonna be the easiest part to cast,
I thought I was gonna pass out from the pain.
I thought we just sent him the script.
I thought, "Oh, God, I'm gonna lose it.
I told you we wouldn't have to get up.
I took a neon coffee mug.
I turned to Chandler.
I want one.
I wanted to help,
I was a gay man who wanted to have hair like Jennifer Aniston.
I was at a very dark place.
I was battling depression.
I was in too much pain.
I was kind of hoping that wouldn't be an issue.
I was like, "Have I won the lottery?"
I was like, "Oh, my God."
I was like, "What is this?" She goes...
I was like, "What the hell?"
I was like, "Yeah, but that's the brilliance."
I was like, "Yeah, kind of."
I went like this the second time. I came running.
I wish he would.
I woke up in the middle of the night at his apartment
I would imagine I've seen them all.
I would like you to be more serious about this.
I would think to myself, "Oh, if you think that's funny,
